zday is a private voice diary for iPhone. Talk through your day; it transcribes, tags, and files the entry — all on your device.

We read every message. Include your iPhone model and iOS version if you’re reporting a bug — there’s no analytics or crash reporting in the App, so your description is all we have to go on.
Common questions
Transcription isn’t working yet
The first time you record, iOS downloads its on-device speech model for your language. This is a one-time download from Apple and needs a network connection. Your recording is saved immediately and is transcribed as soon as the model finishes — you don’t lose the entry, and you don’t have to wait around.
If it still doesn’t appear: check that your language is supported for on-device speech recognition in iOS Settings → General → Keyboard → Dictation, and that you have free storage.
I don’t see the one-line summary on my entries
Entry summaries use Apple Intelligence, which needs a supported iPhone with it enabled. On other devices you still get transcription, mood, topic tags, search, and charts — the diary works fully. We show no summary rather than inventing one.
Where are my recordings stored?
On your iPhone. If you have zday Plus and have turned on iCloud Sync, they also sync through your own private iCloud, under your own Apple Account, so they reach your other devices. Sync is off until you turn it on. We operate no server and cannot see your entries. See the Privacy Policy.
How do I get my entries out?
Settings → Export everything. You get a single archive with all your audio and transcripts. It’s free, it always will be, and there’s no lock-in.
I turned off iCloud Sync — is my data gone from iCloud?
No. Turning Sync off stops further syncing but doesn’t delete what’s already there. To remove the iCloud copy, delete the entries in the App while Sync is still on, or clear zday’s iCloud data in iOS Settings → your Apple Account → iCloud.
Restoring a purchase
Open the App, go to the zday Plus screen, and tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account you bought with.
Managing or cancelling a subscription
iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → zday. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
Lifetime purchases never renew and are never billed again.
Refunds
Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too: https://reportaproblem.apple.com. We aren’t able to issue them ourselves.
If Plus lapses, do I lose my diary?
No. Everything you’ve recorded stays yours — readable, searchable, exportable. Plus-only features stop; your entries never do.
Deleting everything
Delete individual entries in the App, or remove the App from your iPhone to delete its local data. If you used iCloud Sync, clear the iCloud copy in iOS Settings as described above.
A note
zday is a diary, not a medical device. It offers no diagnosis or treatment and isn’t a substitute for professional care. If you’re in distress, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency service.
